Viv Loves Graphic Novelists: Signs Graphic Novelists from 2023 First Graphic Novel Competition Longlist

Literary, development and production agency VIV LOVES FILM is excited to welcome number of graphic novelists to the 2023 First Graphic Novel competition. The First Graphic Novel Competition is a partnership between The Cartoon Museum, publisher SelfMadeHero and independent graphic novel editor Corinne Pearman.

Viv Loves Film also represents past winners – The Black Project by Gareth Brookes, Jade Sarson’s For the Love of God, Marie!, BISCUITS, ASSORTED by Jenny Robbins and Cyberman by Veronika Muchitsch – alongside a number of other extremely talented graphic novelists, via its representation of non-publishing rights for publisher Myriad Editions.

The new signings are:

Anna-Maria Glover (THE TRUE FISH)

Chris Halls (THE SEED OF MERYDYAN)

Corban Wilkin (THE INFINITE BENEFITS OF SHAME)

Edie Woolf (SEA NETTLE BEACH)

Emma Pratt (MAGNOLIA)

Evan Chen (IF ONLY SOMEONE SEES…)

Leina Elgohari (YAFA)

Myfanwy Tristram (THE NOISY VALLEY)

Robbie Brewster (CLICK MEMORY BRICK)

Emma Topping, Viv Loves Film Founder and CEO says: “Viv Loves Graphic Novels! The rich storytelling and the artistic ability of our new graphic novelists superbly complements those already cared for by us, such as Hannah Berry (whose “Adamtine” is now in development at wiip Studios in the US). The moment that we saw these longlisted stories and met with their creators, we knew that these graphic novels were something special.  We are already in the early stages of development for a screen adaptation of one of these graphic novels and are excited to work with our screen (and in some cases publishing!) collaborators to bring all of these stories to you.”
