Viv Loves Film announces an exclusive representation deal with independent publisher Cipher Press for all of Cipher’s non-publishing rights including film, series, television, stage and radio productions, consumer products and podcasts globally.
Included in the representation is TELL ME I’M WORTHLESS by Alison Rumfitt, a vital work of trans fiction that confronts both supernatural and real-world horrors. Alison Rumfitt has appeared in countless publications such as SPORAZINE, datableed, The Final Girls, Burning House Press, SOFT CARTEL, Glass Poetry and more. The catalogue also features LIMBIC by Peter Scalpello and NETTLEBLACK by Nat Reeve amongst others.
“Viv Loves Film is truly excited to start the year with the announcement of its collaboration with Cipher Press,” says Viv Loves Film founder Emma Topping. “We are passionate about ensuring that the stories we read and the films, series, stage productions and video games that we see and play, are truly reflective of the society in which we live. Working with Cipher Press and its authors, we will continue our advocacy of the stories and members of our LGBTQIA+ community”
Cipher Press Founder Jenn Thompson adds: “We’re really thrilled to be working with Viv Loves Film on our non-publishing rights. Our mission at Cipher is to elevate the work of LGBTQI+ authors, especially those who are further marginalised within our community, and this partnership gives us the opportunity to pursue storytelling channels that might otherwise be beyond our reach. We’re proud to publish some of the most radical, interesting, and brilliant queer writing coming out of the UK today, and we feel excited about working with another LGBTQI+-led organisation on further promoting this work and opening up new creative avenues.”
